Police detaining the woman's daughter and the girl's boyfriend and Alex Perez has the story for us. Reporter: This morning, a gruesome discovery near the upscale St. Regis Bali resort is sending shock waves interest there all the way here to Chicago. Authorities finding the body of vacationing American 62-year-old Sheila Von Weise mack stuffed inside this silver suitcase. The luggage left in the trunk of this cab. Detained for questioning -- No cameras. Reporter: Mac mk's own 19-year-old daughter Henry boyfriend tommy Schaefer. They told investigators they had escaped after being kidthatted by armed gang members who murdered her mother. But investigators say surveillance video shows the mother and daughter arguing in the hours before the murder. Later, police say the young couple called for a taxi placing several suitcases inside before going back in the hotel to check out, they said, when they didn't return, hotel security discovered the suitcase. It's just really sad. Sheila mack lived for years in this suburban mansion near Chicago. Former neighbors say police became a familiar sight here. The oak parkolice department saying they were called 86 times over the last decade. Mostly for domestic disturbances, those who live on this block say the mother and daughter had a troubled relationship, arguing often and that Sheila hoped the recent move to this downtown high-rise would help. Every family has got its issues and you just hoped this move was going to make things better. Reporter: In a Facebook post, Schaefer, a self-proclaimed rapper wrote leaving August 4th for Indonesia. Might not come back. Mack and Schaefer aren't charged but are refusing to answer questions until they have an attorney.
