Reporter: We can't seem to stop talking about aging. At the store, creams everywhere. Now, a surprising, new study suggests exercise might be one heck of an anti-ager. Researchers at Ontario's Mcmaster university say, they found the skin of people over the age of 40, who exercise, resembled the skin of someone in their 20s or 30s, at least at a microscopic level. I don't think you can reverse true signs of aging. But it can make your skin have a better glow. Reporter: The researchers used 29 male and female volunte volunteers, ages 20 to 84. Half exercised three hours a week. The other half did less than an hour for a week. That's what researchers saw that the skin composition of those of those who exercised more, appeared younger, at least under a microscope. If your matte mother and your your father age quickly, you're going to age quickly. Reporter: The researchers wondered if diet mattered, too. They got volunteers. At first, their skin was Normal for their age. Then, they got them moving. Those volunteers jogged and cycled at a moderate pace. And at the end of three months, under a microscope, the skin appeared at least 25 years younger. The researchers insist, they don't want to overhype the results. It and it releases substances that stimulate the good stuff and block the bad stuff. Is there a specific exercise that you should be doing? The good thing about this study is that any exercise worked. I tell my patients, some is better than nothing. You want to get out there. It's never too late. You want to sweat. If you go outside, sunscreen. Absolutely. You don't want to tip the balance. Sun damage, if you're doing a lot of exercise, not so good. Chlorine, I learned this the hard way. I got into great shape swimming, but I looked a little pruney. Are there any exercises that are bad for your skin?
