We have something else special to kick off, by the way. It's a campaign for the holidays. We have a special giveaway that can help you, by the way, help children all across the country. Macy's has teamed up with the wake-a-wish foundation so your child's letter to santa is not just a way to get a present. But a way to benefit a sick child in need. It's called the believe campaign. And it's helping to make the dreams of kids all over our country come true. My wish is to be a ballerina. Reporter: They granted over 225,000 wishes. That's about 1 wish every 38 minutes. For the sixth holiday season, the make-a-wish holiday season, is partnered with macy's in the believe campaign. All you need to do is write a letter to santa. And bring that letter to any macy's location across the country. For every letter received, macy's will donate $1 to the make-a-wish foundation. For the second year, "good morning america" is helping get that word out. Full of letters right to the north pole, right? Reporter: We were there when 4-year-old buddy got his wish to be a fireman for a day. And surprised riley gilmore with her idol, selena gomez. Last year, over a million letters were collected. And macy's donated a what happening -- $1.5 million. Reporter: This year, we need your help more than ever. So, write your wish list for santa and help grant a special list for a child in need. All right, then. Santa's elves are already on the case. This is the chief marketing officer at macy's. And the president and ceo of make-a-wish america. David, thank you for coming. Let me get this right. I can't believe the numbers. Is it 6 million? It's more than $6.5 million that we have raised for the make-a-wish foundation through the macy's believe campaign. You guys are incredible. This is a way to make a difference. Does -- I mean, it's christmas for a kid who otherwise wouldn't have one. And tell me, just give me a little sample of the joy that happens, dave. My goodness. These are not just kids but families that are -- their worlds have been turned upside down. We come along and ask a very simple question. You can wish for anything, what would it be? And you know, it provides strength to the family. And in some cases, it helps them overcome their illness. It's really amazing what a wish can do. I'm not ready to head into the holiday season. But you've made me ready to get into the holiday season. Top by that believe box and write that letter because the letter, dear santa letter, and by the way, you'll probably get what you want from santa, especially if you doing in this wonderful.
