Transcript for Surveillance Video Shows 16-Year-old Exiting Plane's Wheel Well
I'm David Curley and this is world news beyond the headlines for Yahoo! News it sounded like a hoax a fifteen year old jumps the fence at the San Jose California airport. Gets into the wheel well of a 767 and flies to Hawaii and survives. Well that apparently appears to be the case according to the FBI. How did he do it well it turns out more than a hundred people have tried to stow away in an on pressurized part of an aircraft. Only 25 have survived. And this is what happens. As the plane slowly gains altitude the amount of oxygen. To fifty below zero actually preserving the nervous system it's a type of hibernation. As I mentioned 25 people have survived high altitude flights like this and it appears this fifteen year old has -- well. Surveillance video saw him get out of the aircraft in Maui Hawaii his parents have been notified. I'm David -- ABC news in Washington.
