Question: Are there medications that might cause symptoms similar to Alzheimer's disease?

Answer: There are medications that can affect mental abilities, and older adults are particularly susceptible to the side effects of these medications. Sometimes, you know, older adults take many types of medications, sometimes in larger than necessary doses, and these can dull mental abilities and mimic the dementia that is caused by Alzheimer's disease.
