— -- Question: Are people with an anxiety disorder more likely to have marital problems or get divorced?

Answer: It's very difficult to live with an anxiety disorder. It's also very difficult to live with someone with an anxiety disorder. As irrational as it may seem to the person with the problem, it seems even more irrational to someone living with them.

So, it is true that very often having an anxiety disorder can disrupt relationships and lead to marital problems. It's also true that people with severe anxiety disorders may not be functioning as well and therefore tend to be married at a lower rate than people without anxiety disorders.
