What Is The TEAACH Model Mentioned In Many Public Schools?

Question: Many public schools mention the TEAACH model. What is that approach?

Dr. McGee answers the question: 'What Is The TEAACH Model?'

Answer: The TEAACH model was developed at the University of North Carolina by Dr. Eric Schopler and Dr. Gary Mesibov. It's an approach that emphasizes structured teaching, in which children's preference for sameness is accommodated by providing them with schedules of activities. And it's a very eclectic approach, which over the years has blended in ABA interventions as well as various aspects of developmental approaches.
