Can Resistance Machines That Use Rubber Bands Or Bows Really Build Muscle Mass?

Question: Can resistance machines that use rubber bands or bows really build muscle mass?

Answer: Building muscle mass is a combination of a variety of factors -- one being the resistance on the muscle or the load on the muscle. And like free weights or stack machines, bows and bands can provide that kind of resistance that we need, but it's important to understand that's not the only variable that goes into building muscle mass. We need to have recovery, we need to have nutrition, we need to have proper hydration. Probably most importantly we need to have good genetics.

So in building muscle mass -- yes -- bows, bands different kinds of resistance can add the overload that our body needs to gain muscle mass; however, it is very important that we have those other variables as well.
