So, the department of psychiatry at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital does a fair amount of research related to mood disorders, and to bipolar disorder, in particular.
So that, in particular, we look at some of the co-morbidities that go along with the bipolar disorder. So the studies would look at the interplay between, for instance, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and bipolar disorder or between bipolar disorder and substance abuse problems.
And we also look at some of the new trials for some of the newer medications that are being used to treat bipolar disorder, so that, again, particularly some of the antidepressants, but also mood stabilizers as well. So, medication trials are a large part of the research that we do here in the department around bipolar disorder.
