Diagnosis and Screening

A fibroadenoma is a benign growth that does not become cancerous. Occasionally it can be painful if rubbing against the bra. On the other hand, if a lump, which is thought to be a fibroadenoma, suddenly gets bigger, then it should be evaluated and biopsied.
