— -- Question: Can I have breast reconstruction with tissue flap from my abdomen if I am considering a future pregnancy?

Answer: There are two main ways to reconstruct the breast. One is the use of tissue expanders and segment implants, or what we prefer as using the patient's own tissue -- what's called the tummy tuck flap. Our experience is that those patients get the best long-term cosmetic result and it doesn't interfere if you decide to become pregnant at a later time. The body has an amazing way of adapting to allow a new life to grow.BC_222_Eva_Singletary_Treatment_Reconstruction
