Should I Avoid Small Children And/Or Pregnant Women If I Have A Seed Implant?

Question: Should I avoid small children and/or pregnant women if I have a seed implant?

Answer: Following the seed implant, we take measurements as to the amount of radioactivity in the immediate area. Some patients we advise them as to restrict the amount of time they spend around small children. However, the limitations on this are relatively short-lived based on the half-life and the isotope use.
