The Italian Village That's Amore for Gaddafi

Cricchi said the development plans all seem 'very doable' at present and the Libyans they have met seem very interested.

"Our dream and wish is to continue to live in our land and spread the word worldwide about our town with our bottled spring water – our special water that supplies Rome with its water."

For Gaddafi and Italian Town: A Fairytale Ending?

Asked about a time frame for results, Cricchi said, "We will have to see." The delegation is scheduled to return home to Antrodoco on Wednesday.

"Nobody in Italy has any money or interest to help us do all this.. Our requests always fall on deaf ears," he added.

"Wouldn't it be just great if this chance meeting sparked this close tie for the future?" he mused, adding he was hopeful the projects discussed would become a reality someday soon. "We believe in fairy tales!"
