Thermal imaging shows candles, person dropped to one knee.
— -- Police in London spotted a marriage proposal by helicopter – with thermal imaging capturing the special moment, showing a person dropped on one knee.
“Will you marry me?” candles read, as onlookers gathered nearby.
Officers in an MPS helicopter were headed to Heathrow Airport when they came across the marriage proposal about 11:25 p.m. Saturday in Gladstone Park, Dollis Hill, police said. The officers continued their flight, but later reached out on Twitter, trying to track down the couple.
By Monday, Metropolitan Police say they identified the lovebirds.
“Thanks to one of our followers we have found the mystery proposal couple!” police wrote on Twitter Monday.
The couple wishes to remain anonymous, police said – but she said yes to the park proposal.
