— -- Jeff Minetti can't wait to meet Joey DiJulio -- the stranger from across the country who originally joked about crashing his bachelor party.

Now, DiJulio, the stranger who got on an email chain by mistake, may end up paying for Minetti's honeymoon in Italy.

It all started when a mistake by Minetti, a 34-year-old real estate agent in Philadelphia, landed DiJulio, of Burien, Washington, on a group email chain to plan Minetti's bachelor party, the groom-to-be told ABC News today.

"I spelled one of my buddies' names wrong," Minetti said.

DiJulio saw the group's emails, according to a Go Fund Me page he apparently set up, and then responded: "So, I have no idea who any of you guys are, but I have been enjoying being a fly on the wall hearing about the plans for this bachelor party over the last few months ... I live out in Seattle, WA and although for a moment I thought it might be funny to just show up and be that guy nobody knows but everyone wonders 'who is that guy?' buying a plane ticket for a cross-country flight just to crash a bachelor's party might be a bit over the top (although it would be epic!). Nonetheless, I do hope you guys have a great time and I'd like to take a moment to wish the best of luck in life to the groom!"

The response made Minetti laugh, so, "I, of course, invited him," he said.

Minetti said he and his friends talked about chipping in money to bring DiJulio to the East Coast for the party, and then DiJulio set up the Go Fund Me with a stated goal of raising $1,264 for his trip to Philadelphia.

DiJulio, who did not immediately respond to a request for further comment, has already earned more than $3,000 for the party next Saturday, March 28. According to the Go Fund Me page, DiJulio wants to use the extra funds to help pay for Minetti's honeymoon to Italy.

"It's beyond generous," Minetti said. "It's humbling. Me and my fiance are just beyond touched."

"I just shared it because I thought it was a good story, it made me laugh," he added. "There are so many other good ways for people to spend their money. There are more worthy causes."

When DiJulio lands next Friday, Minetti plans to pick him up at the airport. He said the bachelor party plan is to watch March Madness.

"It's gonna be great to meet him. He's one of the guys already," Minetti said. "It's just humbling that he would go above and beyond."
