— -- Imagine if an entire city could be housed inside of one skyscraper.

It would probably look something like this:

The 'Vertical City' concept project features a slick-looking tower, which would be population-dense and able to hold 25,000 people at any time.

The 18-floor "city" tries to bring outside elements indoors, with hexagonal voids that run up the side of the tower, allowing sunlight and rainwater to nourish the plant life housed inside.

Hexagonal Facade Openings. Unlike traditional skyscrapers, which are self-contained and shut off from the natural environment, the 18-floor Vertical City allows the outside elements to become part of the interior. Huge hexagonal voids run up the side of the tower, allowing sunlight and rainwater to nourish the plant life housed inside.

Some floors would be underwater and the vertical city would be built to be accessed by plane, boat and land. It would house fitness centers, parking, gardens, spas and more.
