These Might Be the Longest Legs in America

— -- Lauren Williams was walking around on what might be America's longest legs -- and she didn't even know it.

The part-time model from Houston, Texas -- who also works at a museum on kids' programming -- has unseated the previous woman who laid claim to the title. That woman's are a staggering 47 inches long, but Williams' are 49 inches from hip to floor. Her measurements were confirmed by the Houston Chronicle.

Williams said a makeup artist she used to work with in Los Angeles reached out to her after seeing women from all over the world claiming to have the longest legs. She had a feeling Williams could beat them all.

"I started looking into it and realized -- yes I could win this."

The 26-year-old stands 6-foot-4 and is very athletic.

"I'm either playing volleyball or in the gym, that's pretty much my life," she said.

And as for that special someone, Williams said she's not dating anyone right now. No doubt when she does, he'll be a leg man.
