— -- Tracy Berman-Kagan and her husband, Ben Kagan, are devoted to their 4-year-old son, Ethan.

But while life is good for the Fairfax, Virginia couple, they -- like so many other parents -– admit that finding time for each other isn’t easy.

To help the Kagans and other similarly challenged couples reconnect, Redbook magazine published an online article outlining six tips to help people strengthen their marriages “in five minutes or less.”

“There are plenty of studies and experts that prove that just doing the little things, little easy things can make a huge difference in the way you're connecting with your partner,” said Meredith Rollins, the magazine’s editor in chief.

Here are the tips that were adapted from the Redbook article:
1. Use technology to tune in to each other, rather than tune out. For example, rather than isolating yourself on your phone or computer, try scrolling through happy family photos together.
2. Turn up your love song.
3. Read aloud to each other.
4. Watch something funny -– such a viral video –- together.
5. Start your day with exercise.
6. Take time for yourself rather than taking out stress on your partner.
