— -- It’s been a busy week for viral “Quad Mom” Ashley Gardner.

After giving birth to two sets of identical twins -- a one in 70 million occurrence -- on December 28, the proud parents from Pleasant Grove, Utah, now have one of their four baby girls home with them from the hospital.

Evangeline was the first to head home on February 16, eliciting bittersweet emotions Gardner and her husband, Tyson.

“Today has been incredible and so hard all at the same time!,” Ashley wrote on their Facebook page, A Miracle Unfolding-Gardner Quadruplets. “This feeling of finally bringing one of our sweet babies home is everything I ever dreamed of and more! I haven't stopped crying since we brought her home because of this incredible joy I am feeling. But at the same time 3 pieces of our hearts are left behind at the NICU tonight. I know they aren't going to be too far behind Evangeline here but the thought of separating them made my soul ache!”

She was right that the other babies would soon follow Evangeline’s lead.

Baby Esme was expected to be released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon and although that didn't end up happening, her homecoming isn't too far off.

"We were hoping to get her sister home today, but the docs feel Esme needs a couple more days to get her feedings down," the couple wrote about Evangeline's sister, Esme. "Mom and Dad are a little sad, as we were so excited, but we know the doctors know what they are doing, and we want Esme home when she's ready!!!

"On a good note," the couple added, "the docs said when/if Esme comes home Friday, there is a very good chance we'll need two car seats in the car, as Miss Scarlett is looking like a very good candidate for Friday as well!!!"

The Gardners first made headlines last fall when a photo Tyson took of Ashley’s priceless expression the moment she found out she was pregnant with two sets of identical twins went viral.

The couple had tried to have children for years but Ashley had endometriosis, making conception difficult. They underwent in-vitro fertilization and had two embryos implanted, but the embryos split, creating two sets of identical twins.

The big, happy family teased another new announcement Wednesday which they posted to their Facebook page.

“Are you ready for our big announcement??,” it began. “So for the past 3 weeks we have been working on launching our baby line!!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!!!! We are so excited!!! We are starting out with blankets, knotted headbands, and knotted hats!”
