With Al Gore's new book, "The Assault on Reason," hitting bookstores Tuesday, tune into Nightline at 11:35 pm ET for Terry Moran's interview with the former vice president.
Asked what he would say if a "sufficient" number of Democrats were to come to him this fall and say, "This is your moment. We need you. The country needs you," Gore says: "That hasn't happened in the last century or so, and that's just not the way our political system works now" while once again not being fully Shermanesque.
He also discusses what he views as the "sharply diminished" role that logic and facts play in America's public debates.
While Gore appears on Nightline, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani makes an appearance on CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman". Speaking of Giuliani, he was asked on Monday about last week's immigration deal and said, "It does not achieve the purpose I would like to see it achieve," reports ABC News' Jan Simmonds.

On Tuesday morning, be sure to tune into "Good Morning America" for Part 1 of Robin Roberts' interview with Michelle Obama who discusses, among other things, her position on the board of a company that is a major product supplier to Wal-Mart, a company whose labor practices Sen. Obama has criticized. LINK
GMA will also have Part 2 of a Diane Sawyer interview with former First Lady Nancy Reagan.
As for Tuesday . . .
Kentucky holds its gubernatorial primary. Republican Gov. Ernie Fletcher will be in the spotlight, as Republican voters decide whether he has earned the right to push forward toward a second term or is too scarred by a patronage scandal and numerous legal suits to best represent the GOP in the general election contest. His toughest opposition is coming from former Rep. Anne Northup R-Ky., who has been trying to paint Fletcher as too corrupt to win in November's general election. And to make matters worse, Fletcher's own lieutenant governor -- Steve Pence -- has jumped ship. Pence decided months ago not to seek re-election with Fletcher and has campaigned for Northup. Six candidates are on the ballot on the Democratic side and the race is wide open.
Thirteen years after endorsing Mario Cuomo for governor, Giuliani picks up endorsements from Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno, Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco, and members of their respective conferences, at 3:00 pm ET in Albany, NY. Giuliani also raises coin in Buffalo and Syracuse.
McCain and Romney both spend Tuesday in the Lone Star State raising coin. The former Massachusetts governor has stops in San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin.
Sen. Sam Brownback R-Kans., makes 5:00 pm ET remarks at the Set America Free Primary Energy '08 Presidential Candidate Servies at Union Station in Washington, DC.
Rep. Duncan Hunter R-Calif takes his "The Right Stuff Express" to South Carolina for events in Greenville, Greenwood and Batesburg-Leesville.
On the Democratic side, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., has a 2:00 pm ET interview on Air America which will be followed by a 3:00 pm ET interview with former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C.
On Tuesday, Edwards also joins New Jersey State Sen. President Richard Codey (D) for a 4:00 pm ET event in the Garden State.
Before her Air America interview, Clinton delivers 10:00 am ET testimony on rail safety in Russell 253.
Sen. Barack Obama D-Ill., does another one of those campaign kick-off's this time in Philadelphia in a 3:00 pm ET event at The Electric Factory.
President Bush has no public events on his schedule.
On Capitol Hill, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer holds his regular pen and pad briefing at 11:30 am ET.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's D-Calif., National Summit on America's Children gets started at 9 am ET in the Cannon House Office Building.
