Trump Takes His Thank-You Tour to Florida
Trump and Mike Pence head to Orlando.
— -- President-elect Donald Trump brought his thank-you tour to the battleground state of Florida this evening — his first time holding a rally in the state since winning the election.
The Sunshine State was his most visited battleground state during the election; he spent 19 days campaigning there since clinching the nomination May 26.
The event, part of Trump's thank-you tour, is set for 7 p.m. Eastern time at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.
Previous stops on Trump's thank-you tour have included venues in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Iowa — all key states that went for Trump in the election, helping him win the White House.
At the rally in Pennsylvania on Thursday night, the president-elect slammed White House press secretary Josh Earnest, calling him a "foolish guy." His public criticism of the spokesman was part of a recent war of words between Trump's transition team and the White House over reports that Russian hackers interfered in the election.
