I have I have been blamed by Republicans for a lot of things but. Being blamed for. There are. Primaries. And who they're selecting for their party. Is novel. I've said I sued the state of the union that that one migrant regrets is the degree to which. Polarization. And and nasty tone of our politics this is accelerated rather than. Winged. Over the course of the last seven years. And I do all kinds of soul searching in terms or the things I can do better to make sure that we unified country. But I also have to say Margaret. That. Objectively. It's fair to say that. The Republican. Political elites. And many of this information outlets social media news let's talk radio. Television stations. Have. Been feeding. The Republican base for the last. Seven years. A notion that. Everything I do it is. To be opposed. That. Cooperation or compromise. Some. Is of the trail. That maxim list absolutist positions. On issues. Are. Politically advantageous. Dad's. There is in them out there and assistant. Them or the folks who are causing. Whatever problems are your experience. And the tone of that politics. Which I certainly have not contributed to. You know I don't think that I was the one to prompt. Questions about. My birth certificate for example and I don't remember. Saying hey why don't you. Ask me about that. You know bush. Why aren't too. You know question. Whether arm America honor her what normal oil or whether I have America's best interests at heart. Those are things that were prompted by any actions and and so. What you're saying is he within the Republican Party is is. To some degree. All those efforts. Over the course of time. Creating an environment where. Some are like a Donald Trump contrive. I am I'm more than happy. To own. The responsibility. As. President as the only office holder who was elected by all the American people. To continue to make. Efforts to. Bridge divides and help. Let's find common ground. As I've said before I think that common ground exists all across the country you see it every day and how people work together and live together and play together and raise their kids together. Well what I'm not. Going to do is to. Validate some notion that. The Republican. Cracked up that's been taken place. It is. Is as a consequence. Actions I'd take and and and I I. What's interesting all just say one last thing about this there are fought full. Conservatives who were troubled by this who are troubled by the direction of the party. I think it is very important for them to reflect on. What it is about the politics we've engaged and that allow us. The circus we've been saying to transpire. And an end to do some introspection. Because ultimately. I want a an effective. Republican Party.
