‘GMA’ Grows the Most Versus the Competition Week to Week: Adults 25-54 (+7%), Total Viewers (+6%), and Adults 18-49 (+5%)

Season-to-Date, ‘GMA’ Is Ranking No. 1 in Total Viewers for the 4th-Straight Season

ABC News’ “Good Morning America” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (4.484 million) for the week of August 29, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” led NBC’s “Today” (4.323 million) by 161,000.

For the 3rd consecutive week, “GMA” scored increases week to week (4.246 million, 1.375 million and 991,000, respectively, for w/o 8/22/16) across the board: Total Viewers (+6%), Adults 25-54 (+7%) and Adults 18-49 (+5%). In fact, “GMA” turned in 11-week highs in all key demos – since w/o 6/13/16. In addition, “GMA” grew the most week to week compared to “CBS This Morning” (+1%/+3%/3%) and “Today” (flat/-1%/-2%)

Season to date, “GMA” stands as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, beating “Today” by 150,000 (4.749 million vs. 4.599 million), taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.

During the week, “GMA” beat “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+30%/+1.043 million), Adults 25-54 (+42%/+433,000) and Adults 18-49 (+37%/+284,000).
