ABC News’ “Good Morning America” finished as the week’s No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (5.098 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.834 million) during the week of May 4, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” outdelivered NBC’s “Today” (4.590 million and 1.739 million, respectively) by 508,000 Total Viewers and by 95,000 Adults 25-54.
For the 2nd week in a row, “GMA” increased its year-to-year advantage over “Today” in Adults 25-54 (+28% - 95,000 vs. 74,000).
Season to date, “GMA” is the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. “GMA” is leading “Today” by 596,000 Total Viewers and by 139,000 Adults 25-54. In fact, “GMA” has increased its season margin over “Today” versus the same point last season in Adults 25-54 (+36% - 139,000 vs. 102,000).
Furthermore, ranking No. 1 for the 3rd-straight season in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54, “GMA” is seeing its widest Adults 25-54 margin over “Today” in 22 years – since the 1992-93 season.
During the week, “GMA” beat “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+44%), Adults 25-54 (+75%) and Adults 18-49 (+70%).
