— -- Patrick Kane has met with investigators as part of the rape allegations against the Chicago Blackhawks star, the Buffalo News reported.

According to the newspaper, which cited a source, Kane met with an investigator from the Erie County District Attorney's Office. A second source told the News that Kane met with both an investigator and a detective from the Hamburg (New York) Police Department.

Police in Hamburg confirmed earlier this month they were investigating an alleged incident that occurred at Kane's lakefront offseason home there. The Buffalo News had reported Kane is under investigation for an alleged sexual assault there.

According to the News, the case is being jointly investigated by both the Erie County DA's office and the Hamburg PD. Sources told the newspaper that the latter sought help from the former after searching Kane's home due to the high-profile nature of the case.

Buffalo attorney Paul J. Cambria Jr. is representing Kane. He was with the 26-year-old forward when he met with investigators.
