• The Boston Bruins lost 6-2 to the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday, and also lost backup goalie Jonas Gustavsson, who was removed from the game after the first period and taken to the hospital for treatment for an undisclosed illness.
• On the other end of the goalie-injury spectrum, the Carolina Hurricanes announced Tuesday night that goalie Cam Ward has been removed from injured reserve, where he landed due to a concussion. 
• The Ducks will be without veteran center Shawn Horcoff for 20 games after Horcoff was suspended for violating the league's PED program.
