— -- A desk that has been a piece of scenery over the past decade on more than 32,000 ESPN shows, including SportsCenter, will have a new owner Wednesday.

It was put out of rotation after ESPN moved into its new digital center at company headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut.

The piece of memorabilia was included in the Jimmy V auction on eBay with all proceeds going to the charity.

Bidding for the desk, which includes all monitors and electrical wiring, which would allow it to continue to function, had reached $5,400 with 32 bids as of 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday night, with less than 24 hours to go.

The item will cost between $2,000 and $4,000 to ship and includes a letter of authenticity from ESPN.

The V Foundation, started by ESPN and the late N.C. State basketball coach Jim Valvano, has raised more than $115 million for cancer research since its founding in 1993, following his memorable "Never Give Up" ESPY's speech.

The close of the auction corresponds to the ESPY Awards, which airs live on Wednesday on ESPN.
