— -- Nintendo hopes to reinvent the industry it helped start with its revolutionary new video game console -- the Wii, pronounced "we." Using wireless controllers in the shape of TV remote controls (called Wii remotes) and motion-sensing technology, players don't simply mash buttons but actually participate physically in the games. Fire up the included Wii Sports game, and play some tennis by simply swinging away. Wii Sports also includes boxing, bowling, baseball and golf, all using the same method of play.

At $249.99 for the console, a Wii Remote and Nunchuck -- a secondary controller with additional functions that plugs into the Wii remote for some games -- built-in Wi-Fi, all the necessary cables and Wii Sports, the Wii is a great deal on an imaginative new video game system that'll get gamers up and moving.
