It's not uncommon for computer owners to set up wireless Internet networks in their homes or offices. But recently, it's become all the rage for entire cities to go wireless.

Philadelphia and San Francisco are just two cities working on bathing their population in "Wi-Fi" as it's often called. But many more cities are taking smaller steps, offering wireless access to the Web in public places like airports, libraries and parks.

On top of that, numerous national and international hotel, restaurant and retail chains and independent establishments now offer wireless Internet access to their customers.

As a service to ABCNews.com readers, we've created a searchable map that lists public Wi-Fi spots in the 30 most populous cities in the U.S.

Just click on a state appearing in green and select a city from the drop down menu. You'll be redirected to all the information you need.
