Liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen are to begin flowing into the shuttle's external tanks at 10:30 a.m. today. A cold front is on its way to Florida but NASA officials say there's about a 70 per cent chance the weather will co-operate enough to go ahead with the 7:55 p.m. launch. About a fourth of all shuttle missions start at night.

The shuttle's crew is heading to the international space station to deliver a new bathroom, kitchenette, an exercise machine, two bedrooms and a system capable of turning urine into drinking water.
