The astronomical phenomenon known as “supermoon” lit up the sky early Saturday.
According to NASA, the moon appeared at least 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter to people who could see it.
Across the globe, people from Boston to Malaysia tweeted impressive photos of the event.
However NASA, as expected, seems to have won the supermoon photo war with a beautiful shot of the moon highlighting a rocket headed for space.
But don’t fret if you missed the celestial marvel, there are two more supermoons scheduled for this summer. Just be sure to pencil in time to stargaze on August 10 and September 9.
