June 09, 2011 — -- In today's TechBytes: "Farmville" is getting some competition.

"The Sims Social" is coming to Facebook.

Electronic Arts wants its Sims franchise to get a piece of the $2 billion a year it says is spent on social games.

Facebook, however, is once again under fire for privacy issues.

There are objections in the U.S. and Europe to the facial recognition feature, which automatically tries to identify people in pictures posted to the site.

If you share a bed, there may be a problem with different wake-up times.

The Wall Street Journal's Katie Barrette found that the LARK wireless wristband alarm clock did a good job of waking her up, without disturbing her fiancee.

"It really was totally silent and the vibration is such that it changes every day so that you never get used to it, and never kind of ignore it over time."

The LARK works with the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and is available now.
