Many resorts in the Bahamas' Out Islands are waiving rates for Leap Year's extra day, Feb. 29. Among them: The Cove Eleuthera; Bimini Bay Resort & Marina; Abaco Beach Resort. Taxes and service are extra. The list is at myoutislands.com.

Kimpton Hotels are having fun with the Leap Year tradition of gals proposing to guys. The Hotel Monaco Denver's "Dare to Propose" package, from $259, includes beer to brew up courage. The Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge, Mass., has "Sadie, Sadie, Married Lady." Pay $349 a night and get another free, plus roses, Champagne and in-room breakfast.
