12-Year-Old Massachusetts Girl Calls 911 During Home Invasion

— -- A 12-year-old Massachusetts girl who was home alone when a man tried to break into her home used her phone to capture a photo of the alleged intruder that helped lead to his arrest.
The girl, who was not identified, told the 911 dispatcher she was hiding in a closet Monday afternoon as the man allegedly tried to break into her home in Auburn, Mass.
“I’m upstairs in the closet and I’m trying to hide,” the girl said in the 911 call.
"He has no car and he's trying to break in, and I'm home alone and I don't know what to do," she said, according to local ABC station WCVB-TV.
The girl gave police a precise description of the suspect, telling the 911 dispatcher, “He’s wearing a red Auburn t-shirt and he’s wearing a hat and has a rag in his back pocket.”
After the suspect left her house, the girl managed to snap a photo of him as he tried to break into a neighbor’s home, the Associated Press reports.
The suspect, identified by police as Clinton Joyce, 53, was found shortly after the alleged break-in and arrested.
“"She gave us an excellent description," Auburn Detective Sgt. Scott Mills said, according to WCVB. "It was very accurate and the suspect was apprehended a short distance away."
Joyce faces charges including two counts of attempted residential breaking and entering, one count of possession of burglarious tools and one count of wanton destruction of property over $250, according to WCVB.
