A Band's 50+ Hour Journey Through the Western New York Snowstorm
Interpol has been live-tweeting while stuck in Buffalo storm.
— -- Motorists have been trapped on the road over the past two days as a snowstorm pounds the Buffalo area, and another pile of snow is expected to hit today. For the members of one band, it brought a whole new meaning to life on the road.
The band Interpol was among the stranded who have turned to social media to post photos of the snow piling up outside their windows, and status updates about what they're doing to kill the time while stranded in their cars.
Interpol has been live-tweeting its journey. Here's their story:
It all started on Tuesday morning, when the group was heading to Toronto for a show. That afternoon, the band announced the bus hadn't moved from its position on the road in nine hours.
A few hours later, they're still stuck.
The band spent Tuesday night and Wednesday night on the road.
As the hours dragged on, they tried to keep themselves busy.
And even had some deep conversations, band member Daniel Kessler revealed.
More than two days later, the band announces they're starting to move.
Not so fast. Once again, the band is stuck.
