2 Cops Shot in New York City, Officials Say

— -- Two on-duty NYPD cops were shot in New York City Thursday night, including one who was hit in the head, officials said.

The shooting happened in the Melrose Houses in The Bronx just after 8 p.m.

One officer was shot in the head and the other was hit in the leg, the officials said.

Both were rushed to the hospital.

According to the NYPD, their conditions were not considered life-threatening.
