Man Struck by Tour Bus After Nearly Falling Over Malibu Ledge

The man was hospitalized to be treated for major injuries.

— -- A man who lost control of his car, nearly sending it over a ledge in Malibu, California, was then struck by a passing tour bus after he got out of the car.

Shocking photos show the car crashed through a guardrail, barely staying on Malibu Canyon Road south of Piuma Road.

The Lost Hills Sheriff's Station said the incident began when the driver lost control of his car Saturday afternoon.

The man, then disoriented, got out of the car and was struck by a passing tour bus, the Lost Hills Sheriff's Station said.

He was conscious and breathing and taken to a local hospital, the sheriff's station said.

The California Highway Patrol, who is investigating the crash, identified the driver as Silviano Gonzalez Ramirez. The highway patrol said he was hospitalized to be treated for major injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, the highway patrol said.
