North Carolina Mother of 3 Dies in 150-Foot Fall Off Mountain

— -- A mother of three died after falling 150 feet off a North Carolina mountain this weekend.
The victim was Stephanie Anderson, 48, a middle and high school substitute teacher, according to ABC affiliate WSOC-TV in Charlotte.
She fell off a cliff Saturday afternoon at Crowders Mountain, about 30 miles outside Charlotte, a case report released by the city of Gastonia confirmed.
Friends told WSOC-TV that Anderson was taking a photo when she slipped and fell.
Witness Madeleine Farington said she heard Anderon's husband scream for help, WSOC-TV reported.
"All we heard was a man was screaming, 'No, no, no,'" she said. "And we looked and she had tripped and fell off the mountain and she had a pulse for a minute."
WSOC-TV did not report if any of Anderson's children were on the mountain at the time.
The Gastonia Fire Department and Crowders Mountain State Park Superintendent Larry Hyde did not immediately respond to ABC News' requests for comment.
