It's not always enough to know what's "trending." It kind of helps to know why. Welcome to The Social Climber, where we provide a quick primer on the people, places and things that are being feverishly searched and shared online -- and try to make sense of it all.

Will Daniel Radcliffe ever not be Harry Potter? He certainly hopes so. Speaking with The New York Times, the star of the new Allen Ginsberg biopic, "Kill Your Darlings," said that the fight against being perceived as Mr. Potter is an uphill battle.
"I have a massive chip on my shoulder. When you fall into something at age 11 and get paid incredible amounts of money for your entire teenage years for doing a job anyone would want, there is a part of you that thinks everybody is just saying, 'He got there because he fell into it; he's not really an actor,'" he said.

NeNe Leakes, one of the world's favorite "Real Housewives of Atlanta," is back, in case you missed it. Though she turned down a spin-off reality series before, she at last gave the world what it was begging for with "I Dream of NeNe," which takes a look inside her relationship with her ex-husband and their plans for a second wedding.
Speaking with "Entertainment Tonight" about the doors that stardom opens and the strain it causes on her family life, she called reality TV "a blessing and curse."
The Social Climber couldn't agree more.
Ronan Farrow in Talks for MSNBC Show

Ronan Farrow, the only son of actress Mia Farrow and legendary director Woody Allen, made headlines this week when his outspoken mom suggested in Vanity Fair's November issue that his real dad may be her old flame, Mr. Frank Sinatra. The affable Ronan, a journalist and human rights activist, responded with a sly tweet on the news, saying, "Listen, we're all *possibly* Frank Sinatra's son."
But that's not all the Ronan news! He is now in talks to host his own program on MSNBC, likely joining the network's weekend lineup, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Now, will his show feature his crooning his heart out, like his maybe-daddy? Or make light jabs at life's foibles, like his other maybe-daddy? Maybe we should ask Mia?

Stanley Dishon, 55, is facing murder and kidnapping charges in the death of 17-year-old Jessica Dishon, who disappeared in Kentucky in September 1999. The AP reports that it was a series of tips in the past six months that led police to arrest Dishon, Jessica's uncle, according to the Bullitt County Sheriff. A neighbor of the Dishons', David "Bucky" Brooks, was initially implicated in her death, but his 2003 trial ended in a mistrial.
Dishon has pleaded not guilty to that charges.
