Country music's American sweetheart Kellie Pickler took her show on the road for Christmas this year, traveling to Afghanistan to serenade troops stationed there, according to the Washington Post.
The "American Idol" star was decked in camouflage leggings and rhinestone boots for her visit to Kandahar Airfield base, according to the report, where she posed for photos, visited with soldiers and performed.

Shailene Woodley is on the side of her worried fans of "The Fault in Our Stars."
Woodley, who stars in the highly anticipated movie (based on the bestselling book by John Green) weighed in on the controversial poster tagline released earlier this month after fans expressed their outrage online. The tagline, "One Sick Love Story," alluded to the cancer-stricken lead characters who fall for one another, but some fans found the line distasteful.
"I had a really strong response to it," Woodley told Entertainment Weekly. "It's definitely not a tagline that I probably would have chosen by any means. But I think that there's so many people who are so passionate about this book that there's nothing that will ever satisfy everyone."

600 Brawl in Florida Movie Melee
Five teenagers were arrested when a 600-person brawl broke out in a Florida movie theater's parking lot on Wednesday in what police called a "melee."
The fight occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday outside the Hollywood River City 14 movie theater in Jacksonville when a group tried to storm the theater's doors without purchasing tickets, police said.Read more from ABC News.
