Sept. 4, 2007 — -- As classes resume this week at Brigham Young University, the search for a female student last seen Thursday has intensified, and her family and friends are beginning to fear foul play.

BYU senior Camille Cleverley, 22, was last seen leaving her Provo, Utah, off-campus apartment complex Thursday on a purple and silver mountain bike. She was reported missing after failing to show up for various appointments, inlcuding a test Friday.

Police confirmed Tuesday night that Cleverley's debit card was used at a Provo store Friday, but they are unsure who made the transaction.

On Monday, Cleverley's family issued a statement thanking local police and roughly 150 volunteers for their weekend search efforts, which included posting more than 1,500 fliers as well as exhaustively searching the BYU campus and nearby trails where Cleverley enjoyed mountain biking.

University administrators sent out a mass e-mail requesting that students keep an eye out for the girl, and a MySpace Web site devoted to her search was created.

Provo police investigating the girl's disappearance say they have no reason to believe there was foul play, but Cleverley's family remains concerned about her disappearance.

"I think she probably went out on her bike and either had an accident or somebody took advantage of her because she's trusting," Staci Cleverley, the missing student's sister-in-law, told ABC's Provo affiliate.

The Boise, Idaho, native, who worked in a campus library, is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and 110 pounds. Police say Cleverley did have her wallet with her when she left her apartment Thursday, but was not carrying a cell phone.

Another Brigham Young University student, 19-year-old Brooke Wilberger, disappeared in 2004 while visiting her family in Oregon. Wilberger was never found, but a man has been indicted on charges that he kidnapped and killed the college student.
