U.S. Military Deaths in War With Iraq -- 2004

Cpl. Kyle J. Renehan, 21, of Oxford, Pa., died in Kaiserslautern, Germany, from injuries received on Nov. 29 as result of enemy action in Babil Province, Iraq.

Sgt. Arthur C. Williams, IV, 31, of Edgewater, Fla., died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his unit was conducting a dismounted patrol and was attacked by small arms fire.

December 7, 2004

Capt. Mark N. Stubenhofer, 30, of Springfield, Va., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his unit was conducting dismounted operations and was attacked by small arms fire.

Cpl. In C. Kim, 23, of Warren, Mich., died as result of a non-hostile vehicle incident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Sgt. 1st Class Todd C. Gibbs, 37, of Angelina, Texas, died in Khalidiyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated while his unit was on a dismounted patrol.

Staff Sgt. Marvin L. Trost III, 28, of Goshen, Ind., died in Habbaniyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV.

Spc. Edwin W. Roodhouse, 36, of San Jose, Calif., died in Habbaniyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV.

Pfc. Andrew M. Ward, 25, of Kirkland, Wash., died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire.

Staff Sgt. Kyle A. Eggers, 27, of Euless, Texas, died in Habbaniyah, Iraq, when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device.

Pfc. Andrew M. Ward, 25, of Kirkland, Wash., died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire.

Cpl. Joseph O. Behnke, 45, of Brooklyn, New York, died in Baghdad, Iraq, when he was in a vehicle accident.

Sgt. Michael L. Boatright, 24, of Whitesboro, Texas died in Baghdad, Iraq, when he was struck by an improvised explosive device.

Staff Sgt. Salamo J. Tuialuuluu, 23, of Pago Pago, American Samoa, died in Mosul, Iraq, when his Stryker military vehicle received enemy fire during convoy operations.

Sgt. David A. Mitts, 24, of Hammond, Ore., died in Mosul, Iraq, when his Stryker military vehicle received enemy fire during convoy operations.

Sgt. Cari A. Gasiewicz, 28, of Depew, N.Y., died in Baqubah, Iraq, when two improvised explosive devices detonated near her convoy.

Cpl. Binh N. Le, 20, of Alexandria, Va., died from injuries received as result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Cpl. Matthew A. Wyatt, 21, of Millstadt, Ill., died from injuries received as result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Spc. David P. Mahlenbrock, 20, of Maple Shade, N.J., died in Kirkuk, Iraq, when he was clearing a route and an improvised explosive device detonated.

Staff Sgt. Henry E. Irizarry, 38, of Bronx, N.Y., died in Taji, Iraq, when his unit was on patrol and an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV.

Pfc. George D. Harrison, 22, of Knoxville, Tenn., died in Mosul, Iraq, when his HMMWV was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire.

Cpl. Bryan S. Wilson, 22, of Otterbein, Ind., died as result of a non-hostile vehicle incident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Spc. David M. Fisher, 21, of Green Island, N.Y., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his unit was on patrol and the HMWWV in which he was riding rolled over.

Cpl Zachary A. Kolda, 23, of Corpus Christi, Texas, died as result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.
