Alberto Fujimori, Peru’s authoritiarian president, will resign on Monday or Tuesday, the country’s prime minister says. Second Vice President Ricardo Marquez said Fujimori, currently in his ancestral homeland Japan, had asked him to step in as president until new elections are held in April.
