1. Obama Chats With Soldiers in Afghanistan During Inaugural Ball

President Obama had a live feed from Afghanistan where he was able to chat with soldiers from the Inaugural Ball on Monday night. First Lady Michelle Obama stepped out in a red gown by designer Jason Wu, who also designed her inaugural gown from four years ago.

2. Wife of Algeria Survivor Speaks to ABC News

In an exclusive interview with ABC News, the wife of an American who survived the hostage crisis at a BP facility in Algeria said that her husband hid from armed terrorists for more than 2 days before making a run for his life. Al-Qaeda linked terrorists later stormed the facility, killing 37 civilians, including 3 Americans.

3. 16 States Under Wind Chill Warning

Sixteen states from North Dakota to Maine are under wind chill warnings or advisories. Major cities like Chicago and Detroit will be near zero or slightly below this morning, making it the coldest it has been in Detroit in four years.

4. Childhood ADHD on the Rise

The number of children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder rose 24 percent between 2001 and 2010, according to a study conducted by the Kaiser Permanente Southern California published Monday. About 5 percent of the more than 800 thousand children with ADHD were diagnosed between 2001 and 2010.

5. Denmark Says Men and Women's Haircuts Should Cost the Same

Denmark has taken gender equality to the beauty salon thanks to a ruling last month by the country's Board of Equal Treatment. The ruling states that price differences between men and women's haircuts are illegal.
