— -- A Georgia man and woman have been accused of leaving the man’s 6-year-old son inside a locked car for nearly 40 minutes during a date, police said.
Aric Keck, 51, and Jacqueline Tabb, 26, are charged with reckless conduct. They have not entered a plea, and could not be reached for comment.
Police released surveillance footage from July 18 that purportedly shows Tabb walking Keck’s son out of an Alpharetta restaurant, then returning back to the date.
The boy was visiting his father and went out to dinner with the couple, but when he grew tired at about 10:15 p.m., he was walked back to the car, according to the police incident report.
The incident occurred during the father’s visitation period, police said.
The boy called his mother and she called 911, police said.
Cobb County authorities later spoke to the boy, who provided details about his location.
As Keck was returning to the car, he started receiving calls from authorities on his cellphone. He hung up on a 911 operator twice, according to the incident report.
The boy was not injured during the incident.
