— -- A New York man accused of shooting two of his daughters, his girlfriend, and her mother as they slept - killing three of them - was found dead hours later.

Jonathon Walker was found in car near John F. Kennedy International Airport today, said New York City police. His cause of death wasn't immediately released.

Investigators say Walker, 34, shot the four earlier today inside their bedroom at their home in the Springfield Gardens neighborhood of Queens.

Police identified the three killed as 62-year-old Viola Warren, 31-year-old Shantai Hale, and 7-year-old Kayla Walker.

His 12-year-old daughter survived and told officers what happened, according to the NYPD. She was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Police say they all were shot in the head as they slept.

Hale's brother, an NYPD police officer stationed in the Brooklyn borough, responded to the home after the shooting, according to the department.

Doreen Warren, the mother of Viola Warren told The Associated Press that Walker's daughters were "two beautiful girls, sweet girls."

"I can't believe this happened. I can't believe this happened," Warren told the AP. "He didn't look like he's a person to do that."

Warren said neither Walker's girlfriend nor her mother mentioned any difficulties with him. She said she heard about the shooting from television news, before she realized it involved her family.

You never know when they're going to hit home," she told the AP.
