VIDEO: Diane Sawyer talks with Bill Weir about his embed with U.S. Marines.

ABC's Diane Sawyer is on the ground with reporter Bill Weir at Forward Operating Base Michigan in Afghanistan. Weir just finished a nine-day embed with soldiers from 2-12 Charlie Company in what is known as "The Valley of Death."

Diane asks Bill about his time embedded with the soldiers: How vulnerable are they to attack? Who is the enemy they are facing and what will it take to secure Afghanistan? Diane also asks Bill about being caught in a firefight with insurgents. This and more in today's Conversation.
