Transcript for Robin Roberts Tells Her Story in 'Everybody's Got Something'
And finally tonight, our robin Roberts has a new book out today about laughter and love and making it through the tough times. Not just her illness but as she writes, everybody has got something. And Reading a book is like getting a chance to spend time with her. A friendly walk in the park reminding you no day is to be wasted. You have got to visualize moments like this. You feel it. Do you feel it? Do you feel the sun? And the meaning of the sun. It's not easy to believe the best is yet to come when you are just -- not easy to do that. When you said that optimism is like a muscle. Gets stronger with use. Got to use it. Got to use it. Can you visualize the other thing? What didn't I visualize? It gave me a chance to really understand who I am but more importantly, to reimagine who I could be. I am so free. You know me. I am so free. It's just -- yes, I would hop up and down and go yeah. So I don't want people to think that nothing hurts. People have to know that and it's not easy. But look at people. See. Those flowers pushing their way out of the rocks one more time. One more time. For those who thought winter wouldn't pass, it passed. So what you're going through, it's going to pass, to, just like winter did. You think she's the only one that can make this look chic? Big old goofy tennis shoes and she is like looking hot. Oh. What do you think -- did you think you didn't know me as well as you thought me knew me? I should have known. Shall we take a selfie? I love selfies. That's cute. Nice. And as I said, you, too, can take a kind of walk with robin. Reading more about her story and memoir, everybody has got something, out on stands today. Thanks for watching.
