A Dallas police officer and his former colleague are facing criminal charges alleging they used excessive force at a 2020 protest over the death of George Floyd.

Authorities said "anarchists" threw full cans of Pepsi at police officers.

"Numerous" people have been arrested in a May Day march in downtown Portland, Oregon.

Many demonstrated for immigrant rights on the day that typically honors workers and commemorates the fight for their rights.

Many of the protests are expected to focus on President Trump.
