Terminally ill British infant Charlie Gard, whose parents’ fight for his life drew worldwide attention, has died, according to a family spokesperson.

Britain's High Court has given Charlie Gard's family until noon Thursday to agree on how the terminally ill infant should be cared for before his death.

His parents had already abandoned efforts to take him to the United States.

The parents of Charlie Gard have decided not to go forward with their fight.

The 11-month-old boy suffers from a critical illness that has damaged his brain.
